Summary

The New York Times bestselling Last Kids on Earth series presents June Del Toro in her very own adventure!

Told from June's point of view--and set between the shattering events of The Midnight Blade and the upcoming 6th book in the series-- June's Wild Flight brings new characters, high-stakes action, and stunning revelations in an adventure that could only be June's。 An essential Last Kids story that readers won't want to miss!

The Midnight Blade ended with a shocking twist: a long-missing villain has returned and now has an army of the dead at his command! Jack, June, Quint, and Dirk have battled the worst kind of monsters, zombies, and cosmic servants, but an endless horde of animated skeletons is next-level

While the kids plan their next move, an unexpected threat emerges and June gets separated from her friends, dragged miles away from Wakefield to a town overgrown with monstrous vines and never-before-seen creatures。 Drawing on her post-apocalyptic survival and action skills--and with the help of some odd new companions--June attempts to make her way back home。 But not before she uncovers critical information about the mysterious Tower。 Information that the future of our world may hinge upon 。 。 。

Third Last Kid book I've read with my 11 yo (we aren't going in order because he brought home Book #4 in a book fair last year and that's where we started)。 This has been my favorite because June's POV is better than Jack's :-) Third Last Kid book I've read with my 11 yo (we aren't going in order because he brought home Book #4 in a book fair last year and that's where we started)。 This has been my favorite because June's POV is better than Jack's :-) 。。。more

Being a long time fan and having another book to read is always exciting。 This book was another great installment to the amazing series which gave someone else's perspective in the light。 To sum the book up, basically June gets taken away from Wakefield and is trying to find her way back。 Through her journey, she finds more monsters, good or bad and helps one along the way。 This book ultimately brings a new format to an already amazing series, making it more enjoyable。 Being a long time fan and having another book to read is always exciting。 This book was another great installment to the amazing series which gave someone else's perspective in the light。 To sum the book up, basically June gets taken away from Wakefield and is trying to find her way back。 Through her journey, she finds more monsters, good or bad and helps one along the way。 This book ultimately brings a new format to an already amazing series, making it more enjoyable。 。。。more

This was an interesting book。 It was a lot different than the other last kids on earth books。 (view spoiler)[ I like that they had June narrate the book, instead of Jack。 But I still like Jack narrating it more。 They also added a lot of new more interesting characters as well; such as a Baby wretch (which was cool because wretches are giant monsters) so having a baby wretch was awesome。 (hide spoiler)] This is a good book, and I would recommend for you to read。 This was an interesting book。 It was a lot different than the other last kids on earth books。 (view spoiler)[ I like that they had June narrate the book, instead of Jack。 But I still like Jack narrating it more。 They also added a lot of new more interesting characters as well; such as a Baby wretch (which was cool because wretches are giant monsters) so having a baby wretch was awesome。 (hide spoiler)] This is a good book, and I would recommend for you to read。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 That was amazing, the story of the baby wretch and June was masterfully written and I must say I enjoyed how she sacrificed something for an evil monster (or something that was meant to be an evil monster)。 The fact that her character development grew is also a nice little bonus

One of the great things that Max does with this series is capture the "voice" of the kids as well as expressing the trauma they are going through。 I LOVE that June got her own adventures and that she learned how much her friends mean to her。 I also love that she totally knows that Jack is crushing on her :) One of the great things that Max does with this series is capture the "voice" of the kids as well as expressing the trauma they are going through。 I LOVE that June got her own adventures and that she learned how much her friends mean to her。 I also love that she totally knows that Jack is crushing on her :) 。。。more

It was fun getting a side story from another character's perspective with some additional and unusual non-human characters。 Globlet and Johnny Steve were excellent additions to the story and I hope we see them again in future books。 It was fun getting a side story from another character's perspective with some additional and unusual non-human characters。 Globlet and Johnny Steve were excellent additions to the story and I hope we see them again in future books。 。。。more

June embarks on a solo adventure mid-apocalypse, and you might be wondering - is this a prequel? But it's not, instead June is carried off by a runaway monster and (temporarily) leaves the guys behind。 She finds making decisions on her own a little more stressful now than before she tagged up with the guys in the first book, simply because she has more people to worry about (not only Quint, Dirk, and Jack, but also all her monster friends, and oh yeah, the evil Thrull and the final destruction o June embarks on a solo adventure mid-apocalypse, and you might be wondering - is this a prequel? An excellent installment in the series! My son loves reading these books and is kind of turned into a mini family book club thing。 I thought it was very well written and full of action and adventure。 It ended too abruptly for me, though。 Just means we'll have to dig into the Skelton Road right away😁 An excellent installment in the series! I like this series, and it gives a lot of background and helps flush out the world post-apocalypse。 It flushes out characters that we didn't see that side of, and was an excellent side story in the series。 I like this series, and it gives a lot of background and helps flush out the world post-apocalypse。 It flushes out characters that we didn't see that side of, and was an excellent side story in the series。 。。。more

June Rules! I loved this stand alone adventure of hers! No loud, smelly boys hogging the action。 Plus it was good to see what awaits our heroes outside of Wakefield! I’m very excited to read the next book but sad that Neon went off with that annoying owl。 Hopefully they will make a reappearance!

Gabriel Cheng

One of my favorites from this series。 Love the new characters!

Ted Graham

A great entry into the series。 Not surprising June made a great solo protagonist。 It was nice to get some extra background into a character that plays a vital though supporting role in the main series。 Hopefully we’ll get more from her point of view as the series continues。

Great book, I think I like the rest of the series was better but amazing drawings! I loved the plot of making friends and the book was very unique。 I especially love that it was focused around a different character in the story。
